About Lisa (she/her)

I am a writer and science editor based on the Central Coast, California. I worked as a bench scientist for years before becoming a science editor at a clinical journal. My freelance non-fiction and fiction stories pull from my experience in labs, time in nature, and synaptic activity of unknown origin. When I’m not at the computer, I’m likely hiking, watching seedlings sprout, or spending time with family.

Science and everyday life cannot and should not be separated.
— Rosalind Franklin
The experiments of science should be replicable, and those of literature should not be.
— Margaret Atwood
